Pretest
ECG rhythm recognition, pharmacology, and the PALS algorithms and flowcharts, since the PALS
provider course does not teach these topics.
The original pretest can be found on the student CD that is packaged with the 2006 student
guide. Many students have been unable to get the CD to work. Unfortunately, we are no longer
permitted to provide the pretest in hard-copy. However, the Heart Association has provided
the following resources to help troubleshoot any technical problems.

and other useful information not found in the book that can be found in the form of Adobe PDF

We recommend using the entire CD as a study tool.
